A 3D/4D/HD ultrasound is an advanced imaging technique used during pregnancy to create three-dimensional images of your baby in the womb.
A 3D ultrasound creates a three-dimensional image of baby by taking multiple 2D images from different angles and then digitally reconstructing them to form a 3D image. This provides a more detailed and lifelike view of the baby's features, such as the face, mouth, lips and nose, fingers, and toes.
A 4D ultrasound is essentially a 3D ultrasound in real-time. It adds the element of time, allowing you to see live video footage of the baby moving in the womb. This can capture movements like yawning, sucking their thumb, toes, or even smiling, providing a more dynamic view of the baby's personality and activities in the womb.
HD (High-Definition) ultrasound refers to an even higher level of image quality and clarity.
